One week with PJ at home! We brought him home the night of the 12th from the hospital. Those first couple of nights were rough. Not as rough as in the hospital though! We’ve had a couple of good nights since then. Last night was not one of them. Now I am becoming pretty desperate. Last night, he fed at like 12, 1, 2, 4, 8, 9 – I’m wondering if we are getting too much air in feedings and as a result he won’t eat enough at once and he gets uncomfortable after he eats… Gonna check out the BabyWise book that the Darrells sent us. Perhaps we can do some troubleshooting and end up with a bit more sleep. My eyelids feel like sandpaper at those midnight feedings!
Mom left us today. Very sad. Hard to be so far away from family now! It wasn’t a cakewalk before, but with a newborn you really appreciate your mom! Seems lonely. But she needs to get back to Dad and get there before my sister Kym has her baby. I’m so glad she could come and stay as long as she did.
So now we need to start getting back to life as best we can. Don’t know how it will look now with PJ as part of the family. I thought I had trouble getting things done before! School starts for Josh August 23. That gives us a few weeks to try to get something of a routine…
Bye bye Oma – at the GSO airport…
