OK, so I got the guts to try the potty chair today… I held PJ over it and said, go pee for mamma, psssssss! And held him there for like 3 minutes or so. I wasn’t very confident anything would happen. Sure enough, he didn’t pee. I put him down – accidentally plopped him on a pillow next to the potty chair – he squealed! Then I looked in the chair, and there was POOP! No way! First try and we get a poop. Amazing. Anyway, I think he squealed either because I interrupted him or because my watch band might have scratched his little belly when I plopped him…

He’s been grumpy some lately and I don’t know what to do with him. Just when I started feeling confident as his mom, he goes and changes things! Sometimes I just want to sit and cry! He’s taking another random nap right now. I’m trying to record things today so I can see what is going on, how often he nurses, naps, diapers, etc. Lately I’ve had to work hard to get him to go to sleep. Can’t be doing that for every nap… maybe I need to wait until he’s tired-er… but then he’s grumpier and crying! Well, guess I just need to hold out for a day or two and I’m sure it will all change again!
