What a few days we have had! PJ has been sick. Had a fluctuating temperature since Saturday night, 103 was the highest it got on Sunday night. Throwing up, moaning, poor little boy! Not much sleep for his mamma, either. We considered taking him to the emergency room. I really didn’t want to do that because I was fairly convinced it would be a horrible experience of poking and prodding and then they would tell us he has a virus, go home. I’ve heard they’ll often do a spinal tap to check for meningitis on little babies… It was Sunday night about 10pm. We decided to pray and wait 30 min to see if the fever would go down. It did, thank God. Monday we did go to the doctor because he threw up again and his temperature went up again. Of course, when we got into the doctor’s office, PJ was quite chipper. We found that Josh’s initial diagnosis was right – virus. I think he’s teething, too. I swear an upper right tooth broke through, but no one else really agrees with me on that. Maybe we’ll see in a few days.
Plane trip and PJ’s sickness have caused a bit of a relapse in the mastitis. Hopefully, a little rest and more prayer over the next couple of days will wipe it out!
Walked over to my sister’s house with PJ strapped to my back tonite. We went to the store and got some ingredients for cookie dough. We watched the Incredibles tonite at her house. Very cute. Was nice to get out. Her husband, Mark, is an excellent cook, by the way. PJ laughed at their cat, Spider.
Maybe tomorrow I can post some pictures I’ve been taking the last week.
