Well, Leigh Anne and I went garage saling this morning. What a great day to be out and about. It was about 75 degrees, nice and sunny. We were a little laid back – we didn’t start until about 9:45 or so! I guess we’ll have to be more serious in the future. But it was educational to see what baby stuff was out there, what is a good deal, what isn’t. A lady had this really great stroller/car seat setup for $50. We stopped by Baby’s are Us to see what they normally go for – $199! There is all kinds of cool equipment to be had. The trick seems to be figuring out what we will need!

I have been struggling with a bit of heartburn in the evenings. Doesn’t seems to matter what I’m eating. Also, sleeping is beginning to be a challenge. I get sore in the hips and shoulders when I sleep on my side. But I can’t sleep on my back either because of the pressure of my little pregnant stomach. So I rotate like a rotissarie all night long! Left side, right side, bathroom break… repeat!

I must also mention the beauty of the trees here in the spring. Wow. I can only do justice by showing some pictures:

Pink blossoms in Winston-Salem:

Blooming steeple in Winston-Salem:

Bradford pear in Winston-Salem (which I’m told will get really stinky soon and doesn’t produce fruit – I think they look like popcorn…):

One of my all-time favorites, forsythia (the yellow one) in Winston-Salem:

More beautiful pink blossoms in Winston-Salem:

Some kind of pink, drapey tree in Winston-Salem – I think it’s a weeping cherry tree:

And here is a gorgeous pink blossomy thing in Salibury which I am told is a tulip tree:
