Still no camera battery. May have to resort to drawing sketches.
Monday seems to be PJ grooming day. I gave him a bath today and for the first time we lingered a little bit and I showed him how to splash the water. He didn’t scream, so I assume he enjoyed it. Washed his head, clipped his nails, lotioned him. By the time we were done there was no time to groom myself!
PJ is having a lot of trouble with gas in the early mornings. Lots of grunting and no one can sleep. It even interferes with his nursing at times. I don’t think this is normal. I’m eliminating chocolate and caffiene and quitting the probiotic for a few days to see if it helps. Maybe I can give the La Leche League a call and see if someone can help me pin this down…
Also, interesting note. Most of the mothers I know sleep their babies on their stomach in spite of the SIDs problem. Babies seem to like to sleep on their stomachs. I wonder if this skews the statistic. If most babies sleep on their stomachs, then of course most SIDs deaths are found on their stomachs… It’s a difficult issue because PJ doesn’t seem to like his back either. He is so so on his side, but sleeps well on his stomach usually… I’m interested to hear from mothers that decided to sleep their babies on their stomachs, sides, backs, etc. and why…
