Woo-hoo! Making some progress on the infant potty training! Yesterday, PJ woke up early with gas as usual. Maybe 5am. Anyway, Josh has been telling me maybe I ought to try to potty him when he has gas like that. Nah, I said, Josh, it is just gas. I can hear it – fart, fart, fart. Poor kid.
Well, yesterday I just went ahead and got up and brought him downstairs. I have the baby bjorn potty down here so I can try it when it seems like a good time. I thought I might as well give it a whirl. AND HE POOPED! I was shocked.
And then this morning! Gas again. This time, I went to the bathroom and sat behind him on the toilet (like the picture a few days ago). HE POOPED AGAIN! Hooray! How fun! And so much nicer than diapers. I bet it will be irregular for awhile, but we’ll keep trying this out… The only thing is I need three hands – two to hold his little hamhocks while I potty him and one to wipe his derriere when he’s done!
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to get rid of the gas problem, but it does seem to help…
On another note, our friend Steve from Minnesota is coming to visit this weekend!
