We had the funnest Halloween ever with the kids tonite. We just walked around the neighborhood and went up to the houses with their porch lights on. We got to meet lots of neighbors. Kittycorner from us the neighbor set up a very elaborate but corny and cheesy theatrical puppet show thingy. I took PJ over to watch. A witch recited some rhyming lines and cooked up a very ugly puppet that turned into a cute puppet. She played with fire a bit and cackled. PJ told me he could play with fire now because his Pooh costume covered his hands (it has mittens on it). So we had to straighten out that misconception. Then we came home and the kids were excited to hand out candy, too. PJ said he’ll share with us since we didn’t get any. It wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t bad. Maybe 45 degrees? I’ve just never done a ‘real’ Halloween before. PJ was so funny – he told a trick or treater that came before we had dressed him to go out that he was going to be a scary Pooh. Eliza was excited when we were trick or treating. I don’t exactly know why, but she kicked her legs a lot and giggled. Maybe she’s an extrovert.
