PJ’s 3 month birthday. I think we are getting into the swing of things, at least a little bit.
It all starts with the evening. A good routine seems to be to put him down in the crib in Josh’s study room, while Josh is studying, at about 8pm. Josh fixed his mobile yesterday, so he was really fascinated by that last night! Put him right to sleep. Then Josh can study and I can come downstairs and get some work done. This is a good thing especially because I have a new client this month – The Alaska State Dental Hygienists’ Association. They want a site redesign. Then we can go to bed anywhere from 10pm – 12am. We tried leaving PJ in the crib in the other room last night until he needed nursing. That seemed to work fine. He woke up around 12:30am, nursed, and then I put him in the co-sleeper next to me. He nursed again at 4am. Then again around 6:30am. Then it’s time to get up at 6:45. I can lay him back down or put him in the buzz chair and shower. Or snooze a little. Or if he has gas too badly, which he often does, it’s just time to get up and get him moving around. Maybe give him a bath. Maybe take Josh to school. The morning seems to be the best time to run errands. Right after nursing. He’s pretty happy-go-lucky then. He doesn’t tolerate his car seat for too long, so I have to put him in his baby bjorn carrier to go into the store. This is a trick when it is raining, especially. Back home for a nap or some play time with Mom. The daytime cycle is sort of nurse, do something, and nap. After awhile, Josh gets home and we eat dinner and start all over again. Sometimes we go for a walk in the evening in his new stroller.
Met a new neighbor the other day. Liz and her 7 month old, Abbey. I think she is a stay at home mom. I’m going to have to bring her welcome cookies or something and beg her to be my friend. We’ll see…

Closed the tab with a small sense of finality rather than the usual rushed exit, and a stop at hazelbrookartisanmarket produced the same considered closing, when reading ends with deliberate satisfaction rather than impatient skip you know the time was well spent and this site is producing those satisfying endings consistently across what I read.
A piece that did not require external context to follow, and a look at meadowstoneemporium maintained the same self contained quality, content that stands alone without forcing readers to chase prerequisites is more accessible and this site has clearly thought about how each piece can serve a fresh visitor rather than only existing members.
Took a quick scan first and then went back to read properly because the post deserved it, and a stop at uplandbrookcommercehub kept me reading carefully too, the kind of writing that earns a slower second pass rather than getting skimmed and forgotten is something I value highly when I happen to find it.
