The nissan we bought wouldn’t start for me the other day. Thank God, though, Josh was able to replace the alternator and it is working again. I have been really down in the dumps. I felt like we must not be living right or something because it seemed like everything just kept getting worse and worse. Yesterday morning at 5 or so, Josh came up and said his bike was broken, so I had to take him to work! I told him to just go. PJ has preschool Tuesday morning and I thought if I woke him up that early, there was no way he would make it anyway. But we were supposed to bring snack. Well, to make a long story longer, I felt like I needed to tithe. I’m not legalistic about tithing (God owns everything of ours after all), but we hadn’t been doing anything because stuff has been so tight. I didn’t feel safe tithing, but I did 5%. Stuck it in the mailbox at like 7am. Then Josh called at about 7:40 – he only had 1 patient and could come back and get us so PJ could go to preschool. Then last night Josh was able to get the part to fix his bike for $2 and he was able to fix the Nissan. And we got antibiotics for the kids. So I guess I better get busy giving! Isn’t that just like being a Christian. Things get bad and you concentrate on yourself and they just get worse and worse. The upside-down kingdom.
